What kind of clothes?
Causal, average high-school clothes are what we are looking for. These can fall into category of clothes like gothic, preppy, punk, nerdy, etc but the clothes should match the guy’s personality. If not, you need to give a very good reason why sora would wear goth >_>

The person I want to design for already has enough clothes. Can I still design some clothes?
The more the merrier I say, but I cannot guarantee that the outfit will make it to the game. If the game becomes bigger I may add on the new outfits.

What exactly is meant by poses?
Each guy has different outfits-- and each outfit needs a different pose. Therefore we need people to draw different poses with different outfits. If you’re only good at clothes and not poses (or the other way around) then supply us with what you can give and someone else will finish the design.

What do you mean by facial expressions?
Every pose type needs a set of facial expressions like, anger, sadness, content, happy, shocked, etc. We need artists who are willing to add facial expressions to existing character art or create a facial expression(s) with their character sketches

Do I need to do shading? Coloring?
No coloring or shading needed. See this for example [link] . If you want to make notes on what color you’d like to see, make a note on the side of the art. All art will be colored over so it does not have to be a super clean sketch, shaded, or colored. As long as the details are seen it should be fine.

How should I send it?

Basically the idea is that the player will get to choose what they say, causing different reactions or things to take place. It will be like a fanfic that can go in different directions. All the choices will not be "negative" or "positive" choices. So instead of the player always choosing the "nice and polite" answer for the sake of winning, she can tease, be sweet, question, be silly, deep, rowdy, annoying, get angry etc etc without it costing points. It’s all about creating an interesting story through how the player reacts. These options allow the player to "be themselves" to some extend and get to enjoy different reactions from the guys. Crude Example: Like one event could lead to revealing conversation, while in the same event you might not learn about the guy but you get flirt with him and see him blush.

There will still be points. However there will only be 1 point or 2 possible points gainable for each event. These point gaining questions or choices will for things that really important. Maybe you guys can help me here... cause I haven't thought this part out completely. But it might be something like knowing what drink he likes, talk to him about his favorite thing, maybe in the way how you handle sensitive subject for the guy, etc.

One example might be, as draes pointed out, that Sephiroth wants someone he can have a good argument/debate with. So there might be a point where you can choose to say something smart but sarcastic, be timidly polite, or change the subject. Now this is where the "positive" "neutral" "negative" stuff comes in. Some of these events might be obvious (like talk to Sora about theater) but others will be more of a challenging because the player won't see the difference between the point choices and the normal choices. But that's more like real life and makes it more rewarding when you win the guy. Especially if you've "been yourself" and that's what won points with the guy.

FAQ:

How should I send it to you?
You can add it to your DA gallery or simply put the story in a note and send it to me. PLEASE put the subject as the character you wrote about. I try to critique every piece that comes in and I rather work together with everyone on their pieces. But I’m pretty busy student so sometimes it’s faster for me to edit it myself. So please note that your work is likely to be edited to help with the flow, gameplay, storyline changes, humor, etc for the good of the overall game. You will still receive credit of course

Are there any restrictions?
Basically the game is going for a PG rating. I’ll accept PG-13 material depending on the content. However, no hentai, overly perverted, or overly violent pieces will be accepted. Yoai piece will not be accepted, since the romantic focus is on the player with the male characters (I won’t reject material written by guys, granted that it meets standards). Also stories may be edited due to typos, spelling errors, or offensive language.

What kinds of events?
Most events are stand-alone, short stories (like a TV episode) that will start by entering a room, talking with someone, or going to a place.

Basically there are 2 type of events. Getting to know the guy events (during school) and then dating events (outside of school).

What Should be in these events?
The events can be really comedic, to everyday life, to romantic, to tear-jerking. Regardless the kind of event, there should be multiple options during the conversation that will branch off into different stories. The choice should allow the player to be shy, sweet, flirty, deep, pushy, angsty, depressed, rowdy, clueless, intelligent, whatever you can think of. Not all choices are question/answer types, the choice could be a comment to something the guy said or the player brining up a new topic. Also the choices could be actions, like opening a door, looking away, punching another student lol, poking, hand gesture, pointing, holding a hand, jumping out a window, waiting, smiling, etc Keep in mind though, you can only have 5 options to pick from at a time. Note, the more options you have the more you have to write as well.

Where and when are these events?

Hopefully you writers out there will give some ideas about the when and where. But some ideas that have been thought of are lunch time at school, lab projects, double dates. Places can be anything Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts (No Disney please). See a List of Places here.

What if I don't finish my story?
Well that's alright. If you're not sure if you can finish it because of time or because you're not sure what to write, simply send it to me in a note. If want advice to help continue the story, you can submit it to your gallery and I can add a link from my journal to your piece for others to comment on. Then you can either finish with their help or you can ask others to finish writing it. You'll still get credit as a writer even if you don't personally finish it. And if all else fails, I’ll finish it myself


What do you mean by profile?
Well the characters are themselves but in high school, so they way they act and behave is different (can’t say I’ve seen sephiroth at school). So we need help creating personality types for the different guys. What clubs or activities they might take. Part time job. Favorite places to go. Likes, dislikes. Also technically stuff would be nice to have like birthdates (even if you make them up), heights, etc. Check out the gallery for the profiles.

Can you fail a date?
Not really. The player should have the freedom to be themselves. The event might turn out different depending on their choices though. For example, the character might be nice and thus the guy talks more about himself. But if the player asks about a sensitive subject the conversation goes cold. Being flirty might turn off some of the guys, thus maybe ending the event sooner. Sarcastic or sharp might lead to some interesting subjects. These are just examples though, have fun with it and use your imagination!

Writing is subject to editing to fit game play, changes to storyline, combine ideas, add humor or extra options. This is very much a collaborative effort to make a great game. So if it offends you to have your work edited or added to, I don't recommend working with games.
